Disney Spectrum

My friend Josh Addessi and I had an idea one day to try and do a minimalistic color spectrum featuring the characters from Disney's animated works. As we discussed the project, we decided that we wanted the feeling of each picture to come from a person's own experience with said character. The result is a minimal approach which features each character's face and colors associated with them, but no major facial features on them. All emotion comes from the viewer, which is partly why I love Disney animation so much. People have such an emotional connection with the characters.

Even with what we have done, this is still a major work in progress. We hope to finish off at some point with all the faces on a giant poster, running the full gauntlet of the color spectrum. For now, you can at least see what we have done, and maybe find your favorite characters as well.
